Justin Ambrosino is a screenwriter, director, and editor for film and television. Most recently, he directed the entire first season of the RTBF Auvio series BAN (2024) and created the series MEGA-PALS, currently in development with RTBF. He was also executive producer of Need Productions' MEXICO 86 (2024), starring Berenice Bejo and directed by César Díaz, and Volos Films' DEATH HAS NO MASTER (2026), starring Asia Argento and directed by Jorge Thielen Armand. A graduate of the American Film Institute, Ambrosino received the Hitchcock Fellowship, was a New York Foundation for the Arts grantee, was a Kyoto Filmmaker Lab grantee, was an artist in residence at S-AIR Sapporo, and participated in the BiFan Fantastic Film School. His feature film script, LA GRANDE SIRÈNE, was selected as a flagship project at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Market, the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival Genre Market, and the TorinoFilmLab NEXT program, and was selected by Steel Fish Pictures. A screenwriter and director, Ambrosino's films have been screened at festivals around the world, including THE 8TH SAMURAI with Eijiro Ozaki, which qualified for the Oscars after winning the Grand Prix at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival and was screened during the Akira Kurosawa 100th Anniversary Tour.

Another short film, HUNGRY FOR LOVE, broadcast on PBS Online, featured non-professional actors from Sapporo, Japan, and won the Grand Prix at the Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival, presented by Jean Paul Gaultier, as well as the Best Short Film Award from Hokkaido at the Sapporo Shorts Fest, presented by Japanese director Nobuhiko Obayashi. His short film, FIRST SAMURAI IN NEW YORK, starring Maho Honda, Gabe Fazio, and Mike Houston, is currently in development for a television series. He has directed music videos for Belgian artists Mathias Bressan (LA SAVANE) and John Engel (FOG ON THE VINE), both projects supported by SABAM, as well as a music video for Japanese band Mishmash * Aimee Isobe, featuring Steve Guttenberg, titled RUNNING ON EMPATHY. Ambrosino has served on film festival juries and as a grant juror for the New York Foundation for the Arts, and has led filmmaking workshops at the University of New Orleans and the European Institute of Design in Sardinia.
